Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE, Nasdaq: VZ) has unveiled the preliminary results of the shareholder vote at its annual meeting. The meeting was conducted in a virtual-only format today. In addition to this, Verizon has completed its sixth green bond offering of $1 billion. The company anticipates that the net proceeds will be entirely allocated toward renewable energy investments.

Despite some customers experiencing issues when calling or texting those served by another carrier earlier today, Verizon's network remains fully operational. The company also issued its Green Bond Impact Report today, detailing the full allocation of nearly $1 billion of net proceeds from its fifth green bond issued in May 2023.

Furthermore, Verizon Communications Inc. announced the commencement of five separate offers to purchase outstanding series of debt securities up to an aggregate principal amount of €1.5 billion today.

Lastly, Stacy Sharpe has been appointed as Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer for Verizon Communications, effective from March 4, 2024.
